I've done other upgrades to it but the best $$ to hp is an almost stock engine and adding FI and intercooled turbo. I originally ran just a turbo.then added water/alcohol injection and later still added an intercooler to get me to 187 whp and 201 lb. My FI setup back in 2013 cost me about $1300.00. You can use my setup as an example.1679cc engine built for $1300.00.

It won't be cheap but it will be the best driver you ever had.plus you can always add a turbo for trans busting power.Īnother option is to build a cheap smaller engine and put FI on it.then once you have it running good and feel the need for more power just add a nice streetable turbo and blow away any stroker. That 2276 is going to suck enough cash out of you as is.Īs for FI.I say go for it.

You can always upgrade it later as funds allow. There isn't one N/A stroker that will put out that much torque to the wheels unless it's over 2.4 liters or more. You might as well get as much life out of the stocker as possible. I got 6 years of 200 ft lbs torque to my swing axle trans with welded sycro hubs before the diff finally gave up. as long as that year trans came with the factory welded 3rd and 4th gear syncro hubs.

He sells good cams, pushrods, beehive springs, and high ratio rockers. Look into Dan Ruddock's products, he is a member here. The Empi 4340 crankshafts are good quality, even though alot of other empi stuff is not.ĪA P/C kits are good, and another place to save money. As long as you are prepared for that you will be fine. An engine that you already have the case for, (if it needs no work) 2276, should cost you a minimum of $5000 for the cheapest parts available. On a 2276, replacing the transmission is a must.
